⚡ Germany's top economists' council concluded: Battery Electric Trucks are a #noregrets strategy for the future. And we could not agree more. Here's our report. ⚡ Our joint research project NEFTON releases its own report on the electrification of road freight transport today. It includes guidelines on the future technologies in electric trucks and megawatt charging infrastructure. Furthermore, our experts take a look into the ecosystem that will be built up in the next decade, and provide insights on the transition towards fully electric road transport. The report is based on 20 publications (and counting!) and the best thing is: It's available for free online. (Link in the comments.) Moreover, at our final event on July 19th we will demonstrate the first public Megawatt charging session using the MCS system and discuss it with the leading voices, Frederik Zohm, Monika Schnitzer, Markus Lienkamp, Christoph Pellinger and more on the topic. If you would like to dive deeper into the topic, have a look at the book by Markus Lienkamp and Sebastian Wolff from 2020, explaining the merits of different propulsion technologies. #NEFTON is a joint research project of AVL Software and Functions GmbH MAN Truck & Bus SE Technische Hochschule Deggendorf PEA Technische Universität München FfE FTM Institute of Automotive Technology TUMTUM Lehrstuhl für Nachhaltige Mobile Antriebssysteme Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE A huge shout out to the NEFTON team that made this possible: Jakob Schneider Udo Heller Martin Ronneburger Benjamin Langer Dr. Jan Schmidt Andreas Weiß Florian Biedenbach Anne-Marie Schuppan Prof. Otto Kreutzer Michael Glashauser Daniel Meyer Levin Rajan Abraham Christoph Pellinger Christian Peteranderl Fabian Schweizer Marcel Hessel Steffen Büttner Maximilian Schuckert Michael Stark Dirk Kranzer Maximilian Zähringer Georg Balke Johannes Metzger Teresa Junior Dr. Jens Erler among others, as well as our friends and partners at FENECON, DLR Projektträger and Begleitforschung Elektro-Mobil !
